In order to
continue The Citadel's long tradition of excellence,
recruiting is a high priority. In fact, the Citadel
Admission Office has created The
Citadel Volunteer (CV) program,
formerly known as the Cadet Procurement Program
(CAPP). Its mission, under the guidance of
the Citadel Alumni Association and the Admissions Office,
is to recruit and assist highly qualified high school
students through the enrollment process.
Alumni recruitment has been, and will continue to be, a vital component of The Citadels overall recruiting plan. Citadel Volunteers provide a personal touch to the enrollment experience. In addition, CVs offer parents a third party contact for information and direction. Traditionally, Citadel Alumni Clubs across the nation have formed the foundation of this program, using club resources and hosting recruiting events. However, individual CVs not affiliated with active Citadel Clubs can make an impact in their local communities through a concerted recruiting effort. Volunteers:
Serve as an information source about The Citadel and its many academic and extracurricular programs.
Provide the fundamental personal touch throughout the admissions process, serving as living examples of the benefits of a Citadel education.
Provide feedback to the Admissions Office to help us assess how best to support the needs of each interested candidate.
